Dr. Paul Sos specializes in the treatment of venous insufficiency of the lower extremities, which can lead to pain, swelling, varicose veins and restless legs. He is founder and medical director of Optima Vein Care. Board certified by the American Board of Phlebology. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology and credentialed by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography as registered vascular technologist. His international training includes the University of Paris Medical School, the European School of Phlebology and a medical residency at the University of South Florida. His professional experience encompasses 20 years in the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease and 11 years as a radiology attache (Hopitaux de Paris).

Dr. John Opie is recognized for his innovative work in the treatment of deep venous insufficiency, which can result from deep venous blood clots and lead to leg ulcerations. He has been published in many peer reviewed journals and is the inventor of the "Monocusp" procedure, for management of DVI. He currently holds 22 patents for various medical devices. Board-certified in Vascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and General Surgery. He completed his medical school training in New Zealand, a general surgery residency in London, England and cardiothoracic surgical training in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was appointed associate professor in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the University of British Columbia and has been practicing in Phoenix since 1991.
Jeffrey B Alpern, D.O.

Dr. Alpern graduated from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine cum laude and did his cardiovascular surgery training at the Cleveland Clinic and endovascular surgery at the Arizona Heart Institute. During over 20 years of practice both in Pennsylvania and Arizona he was Director of Cardiopulmonary Transplantation and a board certified cardiovascular surgeon in both university and private practice settings. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and is an Assistant Professor at Midwestern Medical School. He has authored numerous articles and participated in multiple research projects.
